Empathy and Support After Hurricane Helene: Corporate Housing for Emergency Relief

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by this devastating storm. The loss and destruction caused by the hurricane have been heartbreaking, and we understand how overwhelming it can be to rebuild and recover after such an event. Many homes, especially in South Tampa, have been severely damaged or flooded, and we want to offer a solution to help ease the burden during this challenging time.

At Nika Corporate Housing, we are here to provide you with a temporary, fully furnished home while yours is being repaired. Our corporate housing offers a comfortable, all-inclusive option, perfect for families and individuals displaced by the storm. We understand the urgency of finding a safe place to stay, and we’re ready to assist you with prompt, efficient service.

What to Expect with Corporate Housing for Emergency Relief: The Process

Corporate housing provides a convenient and stress-free alternative to hotels or short-term rentals. We offer fully furnished, all-inclusive (utilities, media, housewares) apartments that come with everything you need to settle in quickly. Here’s how the process works:

  1. Reach Out to Our Team: Contact us to discuss your housing needs. We’ll need to know key details to help us match you with the best available options:
    • Number of bedrooms required
    • Budget
    • Preferred area or location
    • Number of occupants
    • Any pets (including type, breed, and size)

You can also visit our website at nikacorporatehousing.com for more information or to submit a request form.
  2. Complete Paperwork: Once we’ve found a suitable unit, we’ll handle the necessary paperwork. This includes a lease agreement and a quick background check, which can be completed in less than a day.
  3. Billing Options: Like any apartment lease, we require your rent to be paid for the first month before move in. We accept ACH (preferred), debit or credit cards, checks, or cash.
  4. Move-In Ready: After completing the paperwork and paying the rent, your fully furnished unit will be ready in just a few days. We’ll set it up with everything from furniture and appliances to linens, kitchenware, and high-speed internet. All utilities are included, so you can focus on your recovery, not the logistics.

Lease Terms and Pricing

Our flexible lease terms cater to both short- and long-term stays. Whether you need temporary housing for a few weeks or several months, we’re here to accommodate your situation. Here’s an idea of our starting nightly rates:

  • 1-bedroom units starting at $140 per night
  • 2-bedroom units starting at $160 per night
  • 3-bedroom units starting at $180 per night

We realize that many people have never used corporate housing, and may expect prices to be lower than they are. Please consider that with recent inflation and current short-supply of open apartments, the rent for the basic apartment alone can exceed $2500 to $3500 per month (that translates to over $100 or more per day just in rent) . Apartment communities also charge us a corporate or short-term fee that adds several hundred dollars to the base rent. Add to that furniture, utilities, media, taxes, fee’s, insurance, overhead and operations costs, and perhaps you can see that it is more involved than just looking at an apartment communities website and expecting the unfurnished rent costs.

These rates, although perhaps higher than expected, still represent significant value when compared to a hotel or extended stay hotel, since we are providing a full-up functioning apartment verses a cramped hotel or extended stay room with little to no amenities like kitchens or in unit laundry.

For those needing housing longer than six months, significant savings are available. If your lease exceeds six months, we can avoid the 12% to 14% hospitality tax (depending on the county), further reducing costs and making the arrangement more affordable for long-term stays.

Limited Inventory and Quick Setup

As you might suspect, we are currently experiencing a very large demand for our temporary housing. While we currently have limited open inventory, we can set up new units in just a few days to ensure that you have a safe and comfortable place to stay while your home is being repaired.

Our team works swiftly to coordinate everything, making your transition as smooth as possible. We have been providing temporary housing for over 21 years, so we have it down to a science.

Why Choose Nika Corporate Housing?

  • Fully furnished and move-in ready: Everything is included, so you don’t have to worry about setting up utilities or buying essentials.
  • Flexible lease terms: Stay as long as you need, with options for both short- and long-term stays.
  • Pet-friendly options*: We can accommodate your pets, so they can join you in your temporary home.

    *Breed restrictions may apply.
