We understand that ILP requires service members to use reduced-rate lodging facilities during temporary duty assignments (TDY) while ensuring quality, safety, and cost-effective accommodations, at significantly reduced per-diem rates.
Staying in an Integrated Lodging Program hotel for an extended TDY will be miserable!
You don’t have to do that.
We have private apartments that match the ILP reduced per-diem rate.
Just advise us that you’re directed to use ILP, and we can take care of it.
DFAS will reimburse you up to the ILP rate, or it’s on us.
What is ILP?
The Integrated Lodging Program (ILP) is a Department of Defense (DoD) initiative that ensures service members stay in trusted lodging that meets safety and adequacy standards. The program includes a mix of government, privatized, and DoD-preferred commercial lodging facilities, all offered at rates typically lower than the government per diem. These reduced per-diem rates typically prevent you from using corporate housing, as it is far less than “normal” per-diem.
Your orders may direct use of the ILP, or you may not be directed to use it, and have full per-diem available to you. Its up to the AO writing your orders to decide if ILP is directed.
We encourage you to ask your AO for full per-diem, as long-term extended stay TDY’s in a hotel are not conducive to good morale, mission accomplishment or mental health, due to their tiny size, lack of kitchens or laundry, and generally loud environments preventing adequate, quality rest at all times day and night. ​
However, if you are forced into using the ILP, NIKA still has some apartments set aside that will financially fit into the reduced per-diem of the ILP program. Availability is limited, so try for full per-diem first!
